My paintings are done outdoors, on site,in plein air. Here in Sardinia much is lying just below the surface, unseen, hidden. It fosters my curiosity. My interest is in the expression of this hidden structure, these barely visible traces of the many thousands of years of interaction between humans, the land, and the sea here in Sardinia, that manifests itself in color and form on the surface of a canvas.
